Painting

drip painting

The abstract nature of my painting is the result of a conscious and consistent refutation of representationalism, concrete forms and depiction.
When pouring paint onto a surface, it follows my movements. One could say that the picture is a seismograph of my activity. It creates a rhythm, a trace, a record. My attention is focused on the action.
The pictorial form presents traces of past actions.
The image is present.
The "true" image stands for honesty, freedom and existence.
The lack of concrete references allows the viewer freedom of thought and feeling.
